Mobile Audio Recording

Our home base is Scottsdale. We can travel to most parts of the Phoenix metro area and those surrounding communities within a three hour radius. We can make special arrangements for longer travel times if you have some flexibility in scheduling a recording session. We normally record individuals or groups of up to six people. Larger groups (a church choir, for example) require more advance time to ensure we use the best recording setup. All of the recorded tracks are then edited and mixed in our studio. We do the mastering and produce an audio CD and copies of the separate files for your use. The CD, case liner, and notes can contain any graphics you want to supply. If you intend to produce a large number of copies, we can supply you with a DDP file to send to your replicator.

Effects Processing, Audio Post Production, Mastering

For any studio service other than recording, you only need to be able to send us your tracks. OneDrive is our preferred transfer service, but you may use any other service of your choice. Tell us what you want, and we'll do the rest. We have six vintage hardware effects processors and several dozen digital software effects programs, making literally hundreds of effects available. We can perform time and pitch correction on any of your vocal or instrument tracks. We have a large library of virtual instruments we can use to create any additional instrument tracks you may need. Our strings library alone includes Vienna Symphonic Library, LA Scoring Strings, Hollywood Strings, Spitfire, Cinematic Strings, 8Dio, and DVZ Strings. We can combine these libraries to produce very authentic sounding orchestral backgrounds to your solo work. We have similar groups of libraries for woodwinds, brass, percussion, and electric and acoustic guitar.

If you have a group of recorded tracks that just don't sound as well as you'd like, we can selectively filter and treat the problem frequencies, and remix/remaster your audio. We can replace muddy sound with clarity and punch the volume where necessary. An example of what can be achieved with a good mastering job is available on the About Us page.

Our FREE Mastering Deal

Send us an email with a 30-45 second clip of your completed audio mix in 16 or 24 bit wav file format. Where possible, leave out effects like eq and reverb, and do not process with a limiter before you submit the file. Please do not submit any compressed format files. Send it to us at info@blinkndogrecords.com, and let us know if there is anything you particularly want done. We will master your clip and return it to you via email with a brief explanation of the processing we applied.

Audio Restoration and Media Transfer

If you have older vinyl or shellac recordings that have collected pops, clicks, and hiss, we can remove the impulse and broadband noise, and transfer the audio to CD in a number of different formats. An example of the restoration process can be heard in the player on the About Us page.
